The Future of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency

In 2017, market cap growth for cryptocurrencies reached an all-time high of nearly $800 billion. Its subsequent spiral to a fraction of that amount seemed a natural correction to irrational “bubble” investing.  Cryptocurrency, however, shows no signs of disappearing.  How much of last year’s staggering volatility was due to a lack of regulatory oversight, and what role will regulators have going forward? What role will so-called “initial coin offerings” or ICOs play in the proliferation of crypto assets? How is Arizona addressing the unique challenges associated with this emerging technology? These questions and more will be addressed.

    Speaker:

Bryce Suzuki, Managing Partner- Phoenix Office

    Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner
